Red Sandalwood Farms in Prakasam

Home of our fastest-selling venture, 93 acres near Markapuram, fully sold in 3 hours. New blocks now open in the same proven belt.

Red Sandalwood Farms in Prakasam

Prakasam district's western uplands around Markapuram, Giddalur and Cumbum sit squarely inside the red sanders climatic zone, dry, stony, sun-baked country where the Nallamala ranges shelter some of the species' best-known habitats. It is here that we launched our 8th venture in December 2023, and the entire 93 acres sold out within three hours of opening.

That response reflects what Prakasam's investors already know: this belt grows red sandalwood exceptionally well, land prices remain accessible, and a registered plantation plot here combines agricultural value with steady land appreciation along the widening Ongole to Markapuram corridor.

Why Invest in Prakasam

  • Blocks in the proven Markapuram to Cumbum red sanders belt bordering the Nallamalas
  • Track record on the ground, our sold-out 93-acre venture is nearby and visitable
  • Accessible land pricing compared with coastal districts
  • Growing corridor value along NH-565 and the Ongole to Markapuram road
  • Full 12-year plantation management with fencing and security

Connectivity

  • NH-16 along the coast at Ongole; NH-565 through Markapuram
  • Ongole and Markapuram Road railway stations
  • Around 2.5 to 3 hours from both Vijayawada and Tirupati
  • State highway network linking Cumbum, Giddalur and Podili

Climate

Western Prakasam is hot and semi-arid with roughly 700 to 900 mm of annual rainfall, among the driest zones we plant, and one of the closest matches to wild red sanders habitat. High day temperatures and rocky terrain slow weeds and disease while our drip lines secure young-tree survival.

Soil

Red gravelly soils and shallow stony loams over weathered rock dominate the Markapuram belt, free-draining profiles in which red sanders develops the dense, slow-grown heartwood that earns top grades. Soil testing precedes every planting block.

Investment Plans

Prakasam ventures open at ₹4.25 lakhs for an 11-cent plot (50 plants) up to ₹30 lakhs for a full acre (420 plants), inclusive of registration and complete 12-year care. Early blocks in each phase sell quickly, our previous venture here closed in hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which part of Prakasam are the farms in?

Our blocks lie in the district's western red sanders belt around the Markapuram, Cumbum, Giddalur region, near our completed 93-acre venture.

Can I see the sold-out 93-acre project?

Yes, site visits include the running venture, so you can see maintenance standards on a live project before buying in a new one.

Is western Prakasam too dry for plantations?

Its dryness is an advantage for red sanders, which evolved in exactly this climate. Drip irrigation carries saplings through establishment; mature trees are highly drought-hardy.

What plot sizes are available in Prakasam?

11 cents, 22 cents, half acre and 1 acre, from ₹4.25 lakhs to ₹30 lakhs, all registered in the buyer's name.
